The motor drive chip is a chip that integrates CMOS control circuits and DMOS power devices, which can be used to form a complete motion control system with the main processor motor and incremental encoder. It can be used to drive inductive loads, such as DC motors, stepper motors, and relays.
The motor driver chip uses standard TTL logic level signal control. It has two enable control terminals that allow or prohibit device operation without being affected by input signals. There is a logic power input terminal that causes the internal logic circuit to be at a low level. Working under voltage; The external detection resistor can be connected to the feedback of the control circuit.
The motor driver chip integrates four DMOS transistors to form a standard H-type drive bridge. The gate control voltage is supplied to the two switch tubes of the upper arm through the charging pump circuit, and the operating frequency of the charging pump circuit is approximately 300kHz. The second charging pump circuit can be formed on the external capacitor 11 at pin 1. The larger the external capacitor, the faster the charging speed of the capacitor input to the gate of the switch tube, and the shorter the voltage rise time. The working frequency can be higher. Pin 2 10 is connected to the DC motor armature. During forward rotation, the current should step from pin 10 to pin 10; When reversing, the current direction should be from pin 10 to pin 2. The current detection output pin 8 can be connected to a grounding resistor to output an overcurrent state through the resistor. The overcurrent threshold set by the internal protection circuit is 10A. When this value is exceeded, the output will be automatically blocked and periodically restored. If the overcurrent lasts too long, the over temperature protection will turn off the entire output. The overheat signal can also be output on pin 9, and when the junction temperature reaches 145 degrees, pin 9 has an output signal.
The motor drive chip is mainly used to drive the position and speed of DC motors and stepper motor servo systems, and is applied in robot control systems of computer printers and plotters.
